Yamaha’s Music Education courses are a very special way to learn music. We offer lessons from 2 years old. So, you can start your journey with us whether you are 2 or 92!

Yamaha lessons are comprehensive – much more than a 1-1 lesson. In the younger courses we play, sing, read and write music at the appropriate developmental stage for the children. Students gain a real understanding of what they are playing and this shows in the very musical way that they perform. In the older courses, we still learn music in the same way but include reading and writing music much earlier on in the course to suit this age group.

For those learning keyboard, the instruments for the weekly class are provided in our fully-equipped Yamaha classroom. Here we can play as soloists or even as an orchestra by using the keyboard’s versatility to use different sounds to become a large ensemble with our classmates! In the older courses, students not only play in both piano and keyboard styles, but also study improvisation, theory, keyboard functions, arrangement, ensembles and so on. Older students can also choose to have additional 1-1 support from our teachers if desired.
