News Story

Fairfield Halls is making this year's magical pantomime, Cinderella, even more accessible with the announcement of dedicated relaxed and captioned performances during the 2026 festive season.

Cinderella runs Fairfield Halls from Friday 11 December 2026-Sunday 3 January 2027. Leading the cast is pop star and Steps favourite Lee Latchford-Evans as Prince Charming. Lee is joined by returning Fairfield Halls panto favourites Charlie Guest as Buttons and Sorelle Marsh, adding sparkle as Fairy Godmother. Luke Attwood and Brandon Nicholson bring mayhem and mischief as the delightfully boo-worthy Melody and Harmony Hard-Up, while West End star, Rachel Grundy enchants as Cinderella, and returnee Chris Fearn brings his quick-witted charm as Prince Charming’s right-hand man, Dandini.

The captioned performance takes place on Monday 21 December 2026 and will display live text alongside the performance, enabling show goers to follow the witty dialogue, lyrics, and effects in real time.

Meanwhile, the show's relaxed performance takes place on Wednesday 30 December 2026 with a few small adjustments that make a big difference. The show stills has all the fun, comedy and slapstick capers you’d expect, but with fewer bangs, the house lights on and gentler staging effects. People can freely get up and move about during the show, and there is access to a quiet space for time out.

Fairfield Halls is operated by registered charity and social enterprise BH Live in partnership with Croydon Council. The relaxed and captioned performances forms part of the charity’s ongoing commitment to making live entertainment accessible and inclusive for all.

On behalf of BH Live, Steve Turner, Director of Venues, shared;

"Pantomime is all about bringing people together to share unforgettable moments of fun, laughter and festive magic. Our relaxed and captioned performances help ensure that even more people can enjoy everything that makes a trip to the theatre so special.
"We're committed to making Fairfield Halls a welcoming and accessible venue for everyone, and we're delighted to offer these performances as part of this year's spectacular production of Cinderella."

Presented by UK Productions Ltd., Cinderella will enchant audiences at Fairfield Halls this Christmas with a sparkling production packed with dazzling costumes, spectacular scenery, laugh-out-loud comedy, sensational musical numbers, and plenty of festive magic for all ages.

On behalf of UK Productions Ltd., Martin Dodd, Managing Director, said:

These dedicated performances help more families, friends and community groups experience the joy, laughter and excitement of live theatre in an environment that suits their needs."
