Croydon Symphonic Band: World's Greatest Film Music
Fairfield Concert Hall
Multi award winning Croydon Symphonic Band (CSB) return for their 53rd season at Fairfield. A blockbuster evening includes iconic themes by legendary film composers such as John Williams (Star Wars, The Phantom Menace) and Jerome Moross (The Big Country). Also included is the quirky ‘Viktors Tale’ for solo clarinet from the film The Terminal and the atmospheric music from Jurassic Park.
A CSB concert would not be complete without a work by prolific wind band composer Philip Sparke. His fantastic ‘Symphonic Metamorphosis’ is based on music from Saint-Saëns ever popular Organ Symphony which was featured in the film Babe.
