Savvy Theatre

Savvy Theatre

SAVVY is an award-winning company, creating unique and accessible theatre experiences in Croydon and the surrounding areas.

We are committed to developing innovative, ensemble-based projects that engage with local communities, where everyone is welcomed and involved regardless of their ability or disability, advantage or disadvantage.

SAVVY’s mission is to create community through theatre and was founded on the principles of diversity and inclusiveness.

Our aim is to challenge perceptions of what participatory theatre is all about, working with community casts and high calibre professional artists to create unique, ambitious and accessible theatre experiences.

Take Part

  • SAVVY has a ‘no experience necessary’ policy for anyone wanting to take part in our various ongoing groups.
  • There is no audition process to join us, just a commitment to weekly attendance, creating exciting theatre projects and having fun!
  • In addition to their own shows, each group regularly supports each other (both onstage and off-stage) and every year members take part in our annual Christmas show, that brings our entire company together.

“Drama with SAVVY gave me the step I needed to pursue what I thought was impossible at the time.”

  • Chris Collins, former student Wandle Valley School
