GET READY TO EXPERIENCE THE TALLEST TRAIL IN TOWN

Croydon Business Improvement District (BID) and Wild in Art present Croydon Stands Tall, a 10-week free art event in aid of Crisis, which will take place in Croydon this autumn.

Decorated by local artists and communities, more than 30 giant Giraffe sculptures will appear across Croydon town centre, for visitors to explore and enjoy.

Croydon Stands Tall, as one of the London Borough of Culture's showcase events, will celebrate the vibrancy, culture, and creativity of Croydon while also raising money for Crisis, a national charity working locally to end homelessness on our streets.

The sculptures will be displayed throughout Croydon town centre and we will have our very own outside of The Cube community café. A bespoke map and mobile app will be available to help you navigate the trail, discover new places, and unlock exciting rewards and discounts.

Following a farewell weekend in which they will be displayed together, the giraffe sculptures will be auctioned off at a special event to raise funds that will support our charity partner, Crisis.

In addition to the main Croydon Stands Tall trail, Croydon BID are inviting local schools and youth groups to create their own herd of baby giraffe sculptures, which will form a secondary trail across some of Croydon’s civic centres, libraries, and stores.

The Croydon Stands Tall trail is free to attend and suitable for all ages to enjoy!

Matthew Sims, Chief Executive, Croydon BID said:

“Croydon Stands Tall will take everyone on a journey from the moment it is launched, making art accessible for all, promoting health and happiness as we celebrate our people and culture. We are delighted to be working with Wild in Art on this exceptional project that will, we are sure, collectively bring communities of Croydon together as we stand tall.”
