A True Prince for Croydon’s Beauty and the Beast - Croydon audiences are in for a royal treat this Christmas as rising star Samuel John Taylor takes on the role of The Prince in Beauty and the Beast at Fairfield Halls. A recent graduate of the prestigious Guildford School of Acting, Samuel has already begun to carve out an exciting career on stage, with standout performances across both classic and contemporary theatre.

His professional credits include Stiletto (London) as Gasparini/Ensemble Swing, Pirates of Penzance (UK Tour) covering the Sergeant of Police, The Mikado, and The Yeoman of the Guard. During his training, Samuel shone in principal roles including Jehan Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Father in Violet, and Sir Studley in Once Upon a Mattress – roles that showcased his versatility, vocal strength, and natural stage presence. He has also been part of innovative new workshops, including Cliffs, Rescue Me, and 1666, demonstrating his range and ability to bring fresh stories to life.

Now, Samuel is stepping into his most magical role yet, as the charming Prince who sweeps Cinderella off her feet and brings the fairytale sparkle to Croydon’s festive spectacular. With his classical training, strong vocals, and natural charisma, he’s set to make an unforgettable mark in this timeless family favourite.

It’s such an iconic role, and I feel so excited – and very honoured – to bring him to life in Croydon this Christmas.
