On Friday 12 December 2025, The Bands of The Household Division will return to Fairfield Halls for another spectacular Christmas Concert.

The same world-class musicians who performed before a global audience during this year’s VE and VJ commemorations are seeing out this remarkable year with a musical Christmas celebration to remember.

Fairfield Halls is a renowned arts and entertainment centre in Croydon, South London. Its Concert Hall is used regularly for television, radio and orchestral recordings and is the perfect venue to showcase The Household Division’s Bands outstanding musical talent for all to enjoy.

Featuring over 100 musicians, 'Scarlet and Gold’ evokes the ceremonial splendour and sparkle of the Guards’ uniforms and instruments. The programme of music guarantees to delight everyone and is truly a world-class performance of musical excellence. Military music is an invaluable means of engaging with the community and continues to play a vital role in supporting the moral component.

The military musicians will be joined by South London born and bred singer-songwriter and legendary frontman of the iconic 80s band BROS Matt Goss.

Goss - a seven-time platinum Brit and BAFTA award winning artist - will channel the power and polish of his record-breaking 11 year residence in Las Vegas, pushing the Household Division to new musical heights. Fresh from releasing his heartfelt new Christmas single, Come Home, Goss will perform alongside internationally acclaimed trumpeter, bandleader, and educator Louis Dowdeswell.

Louis Dowdeswell studied at the Royal Academy of Music, where he honed his craft under the guidance of some of the finest teachers and mentors in the world. His time at the Academy laid the foundations for a career that has since taken him from classical concert halls to pop arenas, jazz clubs, and Hollywood studios.
