Croydon’s Fairfield Halls is set to shine even brighter this December, thanks to a new community project encouraging families to get into the spirit of the festive season.

Visitors are encouraged to design, decorate, and donate a festive bauble. Each bauble will be proudly displayed on the venue’s Christmas trees in the main entrance in a dazzling showcase of seasonal spirit.

Baubles can be donated during show times and throughout the venue’s opening hours. In addition, optional contributions can be made to the Fairfield Halls Outreach Fund, which helps provide cultural opportunities for underprivileged young people who would not otherwise be able to access them due to social or economic barriers.

Fairfield Halls is operated by registered charity and social enterprise BH Live in partnership with Croydon Council.

On behalf of BH Live, Steve Turner, Director of Venues, shared;

“From big band concerts and pantomime magic to Christmas singalongs, Fairfield Halls is where memories are made. This year, we’re especially excited to see the foyer sparkle with everyone’s wonderful bauble designs – a true celebration of community creativity. We can’t wait to welcome audiences to share in the joy of the season together.”

Fairfield Halls is hosting a spectacular variety of festive shows and performances perfect for all ages. Highlights include:

  • Beauty and the Beast pantomime (Friday 12 December 2025 – Sunday 4 January 2026) starring Ellie Dadd (EastEnders), West End star Sorelle Marsh, and Croydon panto favourites Jamie Steen and Charlie Guest
  • Scarlet and Gold (Friday 12 December) performed by members of The Household Division and special guests Matt Goss and James Cosmo
  • Step Into Christmas (Monday 15 December) – a feel-good show bringing all the magic of the season to life, with all your favourite festive songs you know and love.
