Wimbledon Choral - Handel's Messiah

Join Wimbledon Choral Society for a performance of Handel’s glorious oratorio, Messiah. This masterpiece is one of the best know and most frequently performed choral works of Western music and holds a unique place in the affections of choral singers and audiences. For many of us, Messiah is music for Christmas. However, Handel composed it for Easter, and it was premiered during the Lent season. Only the first part of the oratorio is concerned with the birth of Jesus Christ, the other sections touch on His death, resurrection, and ascension.
