Croydon Music and Arts Showcase 2022

Croydon Music & Arts annual Showcase at Fairfield is back after missing the last two years because of the pandemic. It will be an exciting evening involving all our music and dance groups. We are using the large performing space at Fairfield for collaborations and including guest dancers and musicians from the Croydon Academy of Eastern Arts and Croydon MOBO nominated Afrobeats artist Silvastone.
Come and share the energy you can only experience from young performers. We shall present Indian Raga and English and Polish folk music; BrahmsHungarian Dance, Florence Price Juba Dance and Croydon Life – a new composition by our own Felix Shepherd; our versions of Harry Belafonte’s Turn the World Around, Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters and Born Again with Silvastone; Carnival by Duke Ellington and Echoes of Palmares by Mat Fox given a carnival treatment by Phoebe Lamont one of our student leaders; and Greatest Showman and a Celebration Medley finale. Our young performers would like to share their celebration of our rich cultural diversity.
Do come early and enjoy a free Performance Festival from 5.30 to 6.45 in the Fairfield Foyer produced by our C3 (Croydon Creative Collective) Young Leaders.
