British wrestling legend Kendo Nagasaki to make history with final match in Croydon

British wrestling icon Kendo Nagasaki, aged 84, will once again make history this November when he steps into the ring for his final professional wrestling contest - a momentous event that will see him break the Guinness World Record for the oldest active male professional wrestler.

A towering figure in British sport and entertainment, Kendo Nagasaki became a household name during the golden era of ITV’s “World of Sport Wrestling”, captivating millions of viewers every Saturday afternoon.

His legendary clashes with Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks defined an era, and his dramatic unmasking at Wolverhampton Civic Hall remains one of the most-watched moments in British television history, drawing over 20 million viewers.

Over the course of his remarkable career, Kendo has appeared at Fairfield Halls more than 200 times, cementing the Croydon venue as a cornerstone of his storied journey.

This November, he makes his long-awaited return to the ring for one final time, leading a six-man tag team contest alongside Northern Ireland’s Dead Gorgeous against the formidable duo Pure Filth - a showdown guaranteed to deliver an unforgettable night of action.
