SLiDE is a local creative dance community. Our projects unite people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. We have regular sessions at Fairfield Halls for learning disabled people and non-disabled adults, including our 60+ class.
No previous experience is required. The emphasis of our sessions is fun, enjoyment and quality to connect meaningfully with others. We use games and improvisation exercises to inspire free movement and creativity, alongside basic dance technique exercises.

“I love SLiDE. It keeps me active and it means I can see my friends” Yasmin, dancer.
Our performance groups and the SLiDE Collective, present work to audiences across London and the South East. “I was totally engaged from the first movement to the last note, as was everyone else who had the privilege of experiencing such a motivational performance.” Michelle Groves, Director of Education, Royal Academy of Dance. We regularly engage with the wider community and local schools through projects and social events (ceilidhs and discos).
