SAVVY Theatre: So You Want to Be An Actor

During the week you will:

  • Work with a director to prepare an audition piece
  • Have photography sessions for your acting headshots
  • Undertake workshops in voice, movement and different performance styles
  • Create a short performance and take part in a final sharing of work
  • Understand the different working environments of film, TV & theatre
  • Prepare your CV and discuss showreeels and social media do’s and don’ts
  • Participate in round-table discussions with casting directors, drama schools and other industry professionals

The week will take place at Fairfield Halls between 31 May – 4 June 2021 (half-term)

Jack & The Beanstalk: A Socially Distanced, Steampunk Panto!

​Welcome to Giant Inc. A large corporation is polluting the skies above with their industrialised nation, while the agricultural land below is suffering under the strain.  Our Panto Dame is figuring out how to use the new-fangled machines that Jack keeps inventing and Milky White is looking to become an influencer on MooTube. Combining traditional pantomime with a steampunk twist, audiences are introduced to Jack, a young progressive torn between two worlds – the traditional farming community he lives in with Dame Trott, his mother, and the industrial world above he has heard so much about – with its amazing contraptions, impossible inventions and giant wealth!
