The Phoenix Piano Academy, led by pianist, composer and teacher Fred Scott, will be a centre of excellence for advanced level young pianists up to the age of 18 and beyond Grade 6 level, seeking the encouragement and challenge of a conservatory-based learning experience.
Aside from the using very best in advanced piano technology students will have the unprecedented opportunity to be tutored by a faculty of internationally renowned artists, advised by industry professionals and give performances in collaboration with Fairfield Halls’ own London Mozart Players. After studying at the Royal Academy of Music, London, UK, Fred has been professionally active worldwide as pianist and composer since 1981. Having coached many young artists from beginner to diploma level his students have won important prizes and awards nationally and been awarded scholarships to prestigious London schools. Students have performed at Royal Opera House, Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall and Barbican among other prestigious venues.
Born in St. Petersburg, Russia. Anton studied at the Special Music High School for Gifted Children (affiliated to the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory), and then at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory, studying piano with Alexander Sandler. In 2001 Anton moved to London, UK, where he continued his education as a postgraduate student, studying piano with John Bingham at Trinity College of Music, and then at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he obtained his Masters degree.
A highly regarded pianist performing as a soloist, chamber musician and accompanist. She has given many performances at leading international venues including the Southbank Centre, Wigmore Hall, Symphony Hall, Cadogan Hall and St John’s Smith Square, St Petersburg Philharmonic, Smetana Hall and Porto Coliseum and at concert clubs and festivals across the UK. Irina has recorded the complete Mozart Sonatas for Piano and Violin with violinist Eleanor Percy for the Melodiya label as well as sonatas by Brahms and Prokofiev for the IMLab label. As a concerto soloist, she has performed works by Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Schumann, Grieg, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Skryabin and Rachmaninov. She lives in London and is a faculty member at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Born in St Petersburg, she studied with Alexander Sandler at the St Petersburg Conservatoire and with John Bingham in London.
